ALADDIN AND HIS SMART WATCH

10:00am - Wednesday 6 August, Newman Community Hall (Mindarra Drive, Newman)

Running time: 50 minutes (no interval)
Audience Age Recommendation: Children 3-11

Aladdin was sick and tired of his boring old lamp, so he traded it for a brand-new Smartwatch! The smartwatch was great, but it came with a very strange Genie who was always getting things wrong.

Aladdin wished for a really big HOUSE and got a really big MOUSE…What the?

His Mum wasn’t happy either. Aladdin hasn’t been doing his homework, or his chores. He has become very lazy! Aladdin plans to make the Genie do all the jobs he doesn’t want to do…including his homework! Be careful what you wish for Aladdin!

'Ballimore students in Kindergarten and Years 1-3 attended Aladdin and his Magic Smart Watch. The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Their feedback has been very positive. Those students who joined in on stage were thrilled to be in the spotlight.

Having the opportunity to meet and talk with the cast after the show was also a positive.

Allowing the school to take photographs during the performance has been valuable back at school for follow up activities. Related school activities, used both before and after the performance, have included storytelling, drama, writing and values education.'Lea Berry, Principal Ballimore Public School
