ALAN Foods Return Food Forest Blitz
Event description
It's a return of the Blitz at ALAN foods.
In the words of Britney Spears let's hit this one more time baby!!
The wonderful Alison, Michael, and Bonnie would love to have a few extra enthusiastic gardeners to help them re-blitz the food forest we planted at a previous Permablitz. You will mostly be chopping and dropping last years planting.
This is also an excellent learning opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about organic market gardening and check out the recently permablitz food forest. As well as showing community spirit in helping create a vibrant food supply free from harmful pesticides and herbicides in our local area.
When: Sunday 23th March 9.30am start, feel free to head off at 12.30 or if you are keen to keep going let Mike and Ali know and stay for lunch and more arvo gardening.
Where: ALAN Foods Jilliby
What to bring: hat; water bottle; gloves, boots, long sleeve shirt, and pants recommended but not necessary. Tools to bring: pruning saw, secateurs, trowel/hori hori knife. If time permits it would be great to do some mulching as well so if you can bring a barrow and fork.
As this is a free event please be considerate to organisers and let us know early by refunding ticket if you cannot make it. It's very disappointing when people just don't show.
