Alankruta - An Ornamental Musical Odyssey
Event description
Alankruta is a multi-faceted vocal musical show. The three primary aspects of the show are rendition of bandishs and semi classical compositions describing various ornaments; Narration that will unfold the tale, significance and socio-cultural-economic-historical value of jewellery and the third pillar is the slide-show that will accompany and exemplify the ornaments and themes being discussed.
The programme shows them all through the visual display…from the ‘bindi’ worn on the head to the ‘painjan’ worn on feet, concluding with a majestic bow to the goddess of wealth and prosperity, Shri Laxmi.
