Learning About Alcohol Ink

Want to find out more about alcohol ink, well this creative workshop is for you.  Note that several material items are supplied for you as part of the fee to explore whether you will continue with alcohol ink in the future without the added expense upfront.

What will be covered in this course?

Learn about how to use the alcohol ink in an exciting and creative way in this workshop.  You will be shown how to use techniques in a variety of ways on different surfaces.

By the end of this course students will:

At the end of the workshop, you will have gained an understand of skills necessary to develop your knowledge further to develop your own unique style. 

THIS CLASS IS FOR:

Persons over the age of 18 years of age who have a desire to learn the basics about alcohol ink.


Material supplied:

  • Alcohol Inks
  • Tiles
  • Yupo paper
  • Cardboard
  • Other accessories
  • Handouts

Material and equipment required:

  • A4 Clipboard or board with clips
  • Eye protection - optional
  • Mask - optional
  • Apron
  • Old rags or cloths
  • Paper towel / tissue 


LOCATION: Woolgoolga Gallery, 73 Turon Parade Woolgoolga

    TIME: 1 pm - 4 pm 

    DURATION: 3 hours Saturday afternoon

    ABOUT THE TUTOR

    Margaret Drever has been a member of the Woolgoolga Art Gallery for quite a few years and has previously taught Chinese Brush Painting and Watercolours, at the gallery. She is teacher trained in adult learning and brings that to class each lesson with a plan. Her aim is to inspire others to achieve their best through their art.

    Margaret’s journey into art started at high school and progressed through several different painting mediums over the years from porcelain, watercolours, alcohol ink and acrylic. Over the last decade she has achieved 1st, 2nd and 3rd award prizes for paintings from the local North Coast galleries. 

    Retiring in 2022 from the position of Academic Dean for Accounting and Business programs, she now wishes to instruct others along an artistic path.
