Whether you are a seasoned artist or a complete novice, this course is designed to ignite your passion for colour and creativity!
In this beginner course over 3 weeks, we will work on the basic techniques to handle the uncontrolled and mesmerizing medium of alcohol inks:
What to Expect:
- Explore the Magic of Alcohol Inks: Discover the mesmerizing world of alcohol inks, their unique properties turn every painting session into a mediation.
- Learn the medium: Get the knowledge of materials, techniques and safety, learn how to create stunning designs without a single brush stroke just by using air and gravity.
- Hands-On Experience: We’ll get your hands on the tools to practice the new techniques and create 3 different styles of abstract paintings.
- Unleash Your Inner Artist: Explore the medium freely choosing the colours and designs that speak to your personality.
- Connect: Meet fellow beginners and experienced artists in our supportive, encouraging atmosphere or bring your friend and share this time together.
What you'll get:
- All materials required for the course
- Print out instructions on materials, safety and effective techniques
- Step by step demonstration of various techniques as well as explanation what works best
- Guidance with your practice, especially handling the blowing tools
- Freedom to explore the medium and express your creative vision through colours and designs that appeal to you
- Your own unique cards and artworks on synthetic paper (A4, A3 size)
- Gourmet platter, tea /coffee / water
Course program:
- 12 May - Part 1: Greeting Cards - Get a taste of the medium on a small format and create a set of stunning cards for your loved ones
- 19 May - Part 2: Free Flow - learn the techniques to create a stunning abstract painting using alcohol inks, add details with markers, paints or stencils
- 26 May – Part 3: Dreamy Landscape – Create a breathtaking abstract landscape using alcohol inks and find your dreamland

Can't make it to all sessions? Book individual sessions from the course. Each class is a standalone workshop that will provide you with ample instructions and guidance to complete your project.
What to wear: Clothes that you don't mind getting stained or artist apron, enclosed shoes
Note: Please be aware that alcohol inks contain isopropyl alcohol that needs to be handled with care. Participants will be offered to wear masks and latex gloves during their practice, and the venue will be well ventilated. This course is not suitable for children under 16 and not recommended for pregnant individuals.
Accessibility: We do our best to provide our workshops to people with all abilities. Unfortunately, on this occasion the venue is not equipped with the wheelchair access and has 1 flight of stairs. Please follow the facilitator for information on further workshops.
