Rooted in Southern Italian tradition yet boldly contemporary, his performance expands the instrument’s expressive possibilities, creating an atmospheric dialogue between ancestral rhythms, acoustic resonance and modern sound experimentation.

Now in its 5th year, the Segmento Tarantella Festival returns for three unforgettable days of music, dance and cultural celebration, bringing together artists representing three Italian regions — Campania, Calabria and Sicily — and three continents: Europe, Asia and Africa.

The program features Ars Nova Napoli, Scupriri, Ciccio Nucera and Alessandro Santacaterina, alongside MATE – Melbourne African Traditional Ensemble, QiQi from China, and dancers representing Thailand and Calabria. More than a festival, it is a vibrant meeting of traditions, generations and cultures.

Children under 12 receive a free tambourine, while our Nonne on a Mission initiative, supported by the Nonne of the Calabria Club, will offer a free pick-up service for nonni who would like to attend the Festival. Three days of rhythm, movement, community and shared heritage — not to be missed!
