As a follow up from the consultations that supported the development of the National Best Practice Framework for Early Childhood Intervention, PRECI is responding to requests for implementation support.

Capacity building is the basis of the work that we do with parents, carers and colleagues.

Practice-Based Coaching is an empirically-based coaching framework designed to support practitioners' and/or caregivers' implementation of evidence-based or recommended practices that lead to positive outcomes for children, and their families.

The objectives of this workshop are:

•To consolidate understanding of the 5 essential components of coaching

•To increase knowledge, skills and confidence in utilising coaching as the primary adult learning strategy when working with parents/carers and other adults

•To understand the importance of coaching to fidelity

•To develop a personal action plan for continued coaching development and reflection

•To introduce the Torsch Coaching Platform

Participants will walk away with practical tools and implementation strategies that can be implemented straight away in their practice.

Please note this event is BYO lunch.

This workshop will be facilitated by Denise Luscombe and Kerry Bull.

Denise Luscombe: PRECI Chair, ECI Consultant, Fidelity Coach, Paediatric Physiotherapist

Kerry Bull: PRECI Implementation Working Group, EC/ECI consultant

‘‘I absolutely loved attending the PRECI Practice-Based Coaching Workshop. It was engaging, energising, and incredibly insightful from start to finish. The content was highly relevant regardless of experience level, and just as valuable for those using coaching directly as for those leading teams who use coaching approaches. Denise and Kerry were outstanding facilitators—warm, approachable, and highly knowledgeable—creating a genuinely welcoming space where everyone felt comfortable to participate. The variety of learning methods, including presentation, interactive discussion, reflective exercises, and role-play, made the experience dynamic and brought the coaching approach vividly to life in a practical and memorable way. The techniques taught, along with the shared resources, made the coaching approach feel accessible and immediately applicable in practice. I would highly recommend!’’ Marie-Eve Dostie (Sydney participant)
