Event description

As we approach Valentine's Day, our thoughts turn to LOVE. Chicago's Lesbian Feminist Chorus brings you love songs, breakup songs, friendship songs, sapphic songs, and more. We'll give attention to all kinds of love: romantic, platonic, familial, self, and unrequited.
The name of this concert was inspired by the 2000 book of the same name by Black feminist and activist bell hooks. As she writes, "To love well is the task in all meaningful relationships, not just romantic bonds." Let's discover love's many permutations together.
Join us at a new venue for us, VanderCook College of Music in Bronzeville. As our chorus and audience expands, we are finding exciting new places to perform.
Free parking on site across from the building at 3125 S. Federal St. Chicago. We'll be in the Great Hall.
See the map below for parking. NOTE: You will be able to park in any of these VanderCook/IIT campus lots or spaces for no charge, even though you may see signs asking for payment.
Public transportation is available via the CTA Red Line 35th Sox station (142 W. 35th St, Chicago) or CTA Green line 35th-Bronzeville-IIT station (16 E. 35th St., Chicago). Several bus lines also serve the area. Confirm directions with your favorite online map app.
