If you advise land managers or manage land yourself and are ready to learn more about alley cropping, this training is for you! Alley cropping is planting rows of trees and/or shrubs to create alleys within which agricultural or horticultural crops are produced. Learn how this practice can positively intensify land use, diversify income, and protect and enhance ecosystem function.

The increasing interest in agroforestry among land managers has produced a growing need for technical assistance. Join us and learn about the principles, design considerations, benefits, and potential challenges associated with alley cropping. An online introductory course is available to watch in preparation for the training. This workshop is hosted by Interlace Commons, an education and research non-profit focused on expanding agroforestry throughout the Northeastern US. This event will occur rain or shine. Space is limited.
