Hi there - and welcome to the Alpha course!

Ps. Chris Davis and Ps. Chris Trodden will be your hosts for this 11-week course, and we are both looking forward to meeting you all next week! Alpha will give you a great opportunity to learn something new, explore faith in a welcoming and open environment, and meet lots of nice people.

We’re all explorers together and we look forward to supporting you over the coming weeks.

Weekly Sessions

Each week we will meet online via Zoom. Our sessions start at 6:30PM and go to 8PM each week. It’s a good idea to join the session ten minutes early to solve any tech issues you may encounter.

Requirements

· You will need a PC, laptop, iPAD or smartphone with a camera to use Zoom.

· You will also need a microphone to be able to speak to the group. Your mobile phone headphones will work really well.

Online

Each week we will have a different topic to explore. A typical night will be as follows:

· 6:20PM Open up Zoom and join session online

· 6:30PM Start, welcome, ice-breakers

· 6:50PM Alpha teaching session

· 7:20PM Discussion time

· 7:50PM Wrap up, update, news

· 8PM Close

In-Person sessions

We will have a chance to meet each other in person on weeks 4, 7, 11 at the church building. The format will be the same on these weeks, we will finish at 8:30PM so we can enjoy a meal together beforehand.

· 7:30PM Alpha teaching session

We will remind you about these in person session the week before.

Alpha Weekend

Alpha also includes a special weekend teaching that focuses on the Holy Spirit. We will run our Alpha weekend on Friday 4th – Saturday 5th June. We will provide you with more details in week 2, but we’re thinking in Friday 6:30-8:30PM, and Saturday 8AM-12PM.

Again, we look forward to seeing you all online next Wednesday 21st, at 6:30PM for our first session.
