The Monk and the Gun is a brilliant uplifting, one of a kind film.
An American travels into Bhutan in search of a valuable antique rifle. He crosses paths with a young monk wandering through the serene mountains and villages, instructed by his teacher to make things right again. A series of misadventures ensues in this uplifting satire, set during Bhutan’s transition to democracy. The Monk and the Gun is beautifully filmed and depicts the stunning scenery and culture of this remote country.
