Inspired by real events, Past Lives tells the story of two childhood friends who are separated when one moves to another country. Two decades later, they are reunited in New York for a week where they confront notions of destiny, love and the choices that make a life. A beautiful and gentle film, Past Lives was nominated for two Academy Awards and is considered one of the best films of 2023.
