WALLET INSPECTOR

With an instrumental style incorporating elements of progressive metal, jazz fusion, death metal, djent and funk, Wallet Inspector’s music is hard to classify in a single genre. The music showcases virtuosity through guitars, bass and drumming in the absence of vocals to take the listener on a journey often with multiple themes in a single track. The band has gained attention with their polyrhythmic riffing, metric modulation, seamless blending of styles and microtonal elements.

In 2024 Wallet Inspector embarked on their first international tour playing across New Zealand and released their debut album ‘Ephemeris’. This will be their first performance of ‘Ephemeris’ in its entirety.

FABULOUS CONTRAPTION

Fabulous Contraption are a living, breathing machine constructed from modern jazz, experimental metal and progressive rock. Their music moves from slick and streamlined to primordial chaos, from calmly hypnotic grooves to frenetic punk chaos. You’ll hear soaring solos, open-structured improvisations, intricate synthesiser and guitar lines, dirty grooves, and all manner of metric mayhem.

PAEON

Catch Paeon as they showcase their progressive metal prowess. With their debut EP, PUSH, released in 2024, and a reputation for pummelling riffs, ambient spaces and progressive breakdowns, Paeon is making waves in the Melbourne music scene.

ALIEN FINGERS

Groovy, Funky Prog Rock lightly seasoned with darkness and eccentricity: Formerely known as GEO, Alien Fingers are a 5-piece band from Melbourne whose music incorporates an eclectic array of musical styles and elements including: Progressive Rock & Metal, Jazz, Funk and Fusion.

Once described by a reviewer as “Melbourne’s premier Funk-Prog party band”, and once also described (perhaps even more accurately) by an inebriated audience member as “F___ing Frank Zappa on steroids!”
