Alter Boy will be making the pilgrimage to join the Saturday night programming as the headliner for the Auslan Creative Festival.
Hailing from Perth, Alter Boy is led by hard of hearing artist Molly Priest, and feature an Auslan interpreter front and centre. Alter Boy continues to influence a greater understanding of how deaf/hard-of-hearing individuals experience the power of music through their dark, shiny pop hits all performed in Auslan.
Alter Boys combination of Chaotic live performances feature transgender, disabled bodies and carefully considered, unique uniforms serve the bands collective motivation to challenge the music industry’s status quo and influence a new relationship with music.
Local support acts include Flood Mud Drag, a collaboration between Andrew Parry, Krinkl Theatre and Realartworks. Flood Mud Drag is a response performance to the recent flood events, with one part extracted from the Realartworks collaborative performance of 2022 love Level (a series of unprecedented events). Wrapping up the event will be local Dj's Brugmansia and Tim Crasher.
