Altered Jeans Workshop
Event description
In this workshop, you'll learn a range of techniques for altering a pair of jeans, whether you're looking to make them bigger, smaller, or add your own creative embellishments.
Over three 3 hour sessions, we’ll partially deconstruct and reconstruct the jeans, using pieces from other discarded pairs to reimagine your garment. Altering denim requires techniques that are a little different from standard clothing alterations, and this workshop will give you the skills to confidently tackle all kinds of jeans upcycling projects.
You’re welcome to bring your own jeans to work on, or choose from our collection
DETAILS:
Workshop is over three sessions, Tuesday 15th July, Wednesday 16th July and Thursday 17th July, 2pm-5pm
Cost: $180
This workshop is limited to 6 participants.
Best suited for those with some basic machine sewing experience.
*PLEASE NOTE: If you are a beginner sewist and would like to embark on a smaller project, knowing how to make simple repairs and embellish your jeans, please book in for our Slow Stitch Saturday. All of our classes and workshops are created using circular economy principles. This means we love using many recycled and reclaimed fabrics, and haberdashery items for our sewing projects. We are deeply passionate about diverting textile waste from landfill and we do this through upcycling.
