EVENT INFORMATION
The Hamilton Boys’ High School Leo Club will be holding a fundraiser for the New Zealand Alzheimer’s Society. This is inspired by previous fundraisers organised by Alzheimer’s New Zealand called Cuppa for a Cause. Attendees will be able to enjoy a morning of food and tea with performances from some of Hamilton Boys’ finest musicians. This will be an incredible opportunity to come together as a community and raise money for an important cause.
Dealing with Alzheimer's is an incredibly taxing and potentially isolating experience for any individual and their whānau. It is important to support these members of our community and make them feel seen and valued. As it stands no political party has a plan to aid the 70,000 people in New Zealand currently living with dementia or the expected 170,000 New Zealanders expected to be diagnosed with Alzheimer's by 2050.
It is fundraisers like these like this and the incredible work done by Alzheimer’s New Zealand that give people the support that they need. Here at Hamilton Boys’ High School we are committed to helping all members of our community and strive to achieve a dementia friendly New Zealand. We invite you all to attend and enjoy the morning with us. Food will be provided and covered for you by the ticket purchase, with more specific details on menu items to come out soon.
