AMaGA SA Annual Special Meeting and Exhibition Tour

AMaGA members are invited to join us for the AMaGA SA Annual Special Meeting at the State Library SA.
5pm – 5:45pm - Special viewing of Disrupt, Persist, Invent: Australians in an ever-changing world at the State Library South Australia
6pm - 7pm – Annual Special Meeting in the Jervois Room with refreshments (members only, see details below)
Disrupt, persist, invent is an exhibition that explores the question ‘how do you change the world?’ through records held by National Archives of Australia.
It is about more than activism and activists. The world is changed in so many ways –through protests and demonstrations, but also through invention and innovation, elections, creating and promoting arts and culture, and making space for the marginalised in our community.
Using archival records, objects, audio-visual material and video portraits, the exhibition highlights 28 inspiring ways that Australians have changed the world and how the Commonwealth has responded to these social, political, and technological changes.
Australians in an ever-changing world. What does that mean? Come with us as we find out. Delving into National Archives’ collection, we discover stories not just of noisy protest, but also of innovation, creativity and quiet persistence.
Annual Special Meeting ELECTION
An election will take place at this year’s Annual Special Meeting. Committee positions are up for election are:
- President
- Treasurer
- Ordinary Member (two positions)
If you would like to stand for any of these positions you must be an individual member of AMaGA or the representative of a member organisation. Please submit your nominations for committee positions by 5pm (ACST) Tuesday 7 May 2024 via email (amagasabranch@gmail.com).
If you can’t attend the meeting you can submit your vote by proxy by emailing a proxy form also by Tuesday 7 May.
