Amber Creswell-Bell Book Launch & Conversation with Richard Morecroft

BOOK LAUCH AND IN CONVERSATION 

Wax Lyrical is thrilled to be hosting Amber Creswell-Bell for an in conversation with Richard Morecroft and launch of her new book, Australian Abstract. 

Amber is an art curator, an author of books on the arts, a lifestyle writer, a speaker, and an enthusiastic creative hustler. With a passion for art, Amber champions emerging and unrepresented artists and ceramicists, curating popular exhibitions both independently and in collaboration with commercial galleries. She is currently the  Director of Emerging Art for Michael Reid galleries, curating both the emerging art and ceramics programs. In 2021 Amber established the National Emerging Art Prize (NEAP) in collaboration with Michael Reid.

Amber's new release, Australian Abstract draws on extensive interviews to examine the diverse practices of more than forty contemporary abstract painters, documenting a repertoire of styles, subjects, visions and philosophies.
