Event description

On Thursday, 20 October, at 7pm, the Amnesty International Adelaide Queer Action Group invites you to a film screening to celebrate International Pronouns Day.

International Pronouns Day is all about normalising pronoun sharing and respecting each other, and we at the AIA Adelaide Queer Group would love to you come celebrate with us! Particularly after the many transphobic Federal Election campaigns and debates around the Religious Discrimination Bill that attacked trans youth in particular, this year its more important than ever to support our trans and gender diverse friends and family.

We invite you join us at the Mercury for a screening of the Miseducation of Cameron Post followed by a discussion with some Adelaide-based queer activists. We hope this event will not only be a chance to enjoy a good movie, but will encourage you to reflect upon the challenges still faced by the LGBTQ+ community today, particularly those still posed by conversion practices, and to appreciate the indomitable strength of our community.

Tickets are $20 with all proceeds going to Amnesty International
