As we leave the Winter period of hibernation and inwardness behind, Spring brings great opportunities for personal growth, flourishment, and offers new leaves a chance to bloom, just as it does in nature. In the spirit of Spring, on the day of the Spring Solstice, Uma Lovato and Rob Pikle would like to offer Melbournites a first of it's kind experience in Victoria - A shaking medicine somatic therapy workshop run by Uma, from Tremor Remedy, following after a sacred cacao ceremony, soundbath, and primal dance co-facilitated by Rob Pikle, from Sacred Circles.

While soundbaths, cacao, and primal dance are all known quantities, shaking medicine as brought to you by the team at Tremor Remedy is a new offering in the somatic therapy space, which can draw similarities with EMDR or TRE, although it differs from and goes deeper than either of those.

Using a combination of traditional tribal shaking medicine, Kriya yoga, Qi Gong, and primal breathwork, Tremor Remedy aims to activate the tremoring mechanism all animals possess in their epigenetic DNA - Including humans. While animals still instinctually activate and can use this natural healing technique from the moment they're born, humans have lost it to the sands of times, at least without a bit of a kickstart to remind us - Thus ramping up your voltage.

Therapeutic tremoring is natural, safe, and effective in allowing all animals to heal from traumas physiological, psychological, and spiritual, via inducing powerful, healing, shakes and tremors throughout our bodies. In wolves, lions, bears, owls, snakes, and so on, this happens with no outside help, in a similar way of how our brains and bodies use our polyvagal systems, in particular, our vagus nerves, to interpret the electrical impulses that any external stimuli, whether physical or mental, can cause in our body. To use one of the most simple examples of this, if someone pokes your arm, this is the network of nerves, fibers, muscles, and brain tissues responsible for receiving the electrical charge the nerves in your arms generates, sends along the neural highways to your brains, and then waits for and receives the response from our brain, a neural "SMS" that tells our body what we just felt - So your reaction might be to look in the direction of a gentle poke to see who wanted your attention, or a more pained reaction if the poke was not so gentle.

By doing this, Tremor Remedy aims to help us allow freshly inflicted charges to be dissipated before they have the chance to linger, and also allow us to consciously direct this natural mechanism through our bodies in order to discharge and dispel historical charges, providing a completely new, natural, and most of all, eventually fully self-embodied means of healing that every single person on the planet can learn to use, and benefit from - Just like our ancestors did.
