AMSA Annual Dinner 2022 - Australian National Maritime Museum
Event description
Celebrating 185 years Migration History
1837 – 2022: Join us at the AMSA Annual Dinner and celebrate our Migration Journey
We’ve come from Malaysia and Singapore and in one way or another, have helped shape Australia, the land we live in today. We are forever grateful for the opportunities Australia has given us.
This AMSA Annual Dinner 2022 recognises the migrants, celebrates their history, heritage and culture with families and friends.
A special partnership with the Australian National Maritime Museum
It is befitting that we hold this celebration at the Australian National Maritime Museum which has told many migrant stories.Â
The Museum collects and exhibits the stories of migrants and honours them on the National Monument to Migration. Through this partnership, we illuminate the welcoming and stories of Malaysians and Singaporeans into Australia since 1837.
AMSA and the community
Throughout the last 50 odd years, AMSA has been a significant part of that migration history. It has become the communal support for Malaysian and Singaporean migrants into Australia. Till today, Australian-based businesses, Federal, State and Local government departments and agencies and community groups recognise AMSA’s efforts to support every Malaysian and Singaporean as they settle in the land of plenty.
The Dinner - Peranakan and Nyonya Cuisine
A special Peranakan menu has been curated for AMSA by Jackie M, an expert that other Australian experts consult when it comes to Malaysian cooking.Â
Fabulous Entertainment and great Raffle prizes to be won.
