A nurturing afternoon of creative writing, relaxation, and self-discovery
We all carry stories of stress, of challenge, of healing still to be done. Whether you are navigating the pressures of everyday life, healing from a difficult past, living with physical or mental health challenges, caring for others, or managing chronic pain, this gentle workshop offers you a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect.
Join Dr Melissa O’Shea - creative writing teacher, counsellor, and qualified yoga and sleep therapist - for a deeply restorative afternoon designed to calm your nervous system and spark your creative unconscious.
In this safe and supportive environment, you will be guided through a soothing blend of:
Reflective and expressive writing exercises
Gentle meditation and relaxation techniques
Practices to promote emotional balance and creativity
Opportunities for quiet self-reflection
A nourishing afternoon tea shared in good company
You will leave feeling grounded, inspired, and equipped with a toolkit of writing and relaxation practices to continue at home.
Accessibility & Comfort
No physical fitness or writing experience is required. All activities can be done while seated in a chair. If you prefer a deeper relaxation experience, you’re welcome to bring a mat or blanket to lie down during rest practices (but only if you're comfortable doing so).

Dr Melissa O’Shea brings together her unique experience as a creative writing teacher, counsellor, and yoga and sleep therapist to create transformative and nurturing spaces for self-exploration. She is passionate about the power of story, rest, and gentle movement to support healing and personal growth.
