Description

You're warmly invited to share an informal afternoon tea to meet the inspiring Valerie Browning AM, an Australian nurse who has lived and worked in the Afar deserts of Ethiopia for more than 40 years.

Most at home in the desert, Valerie is known locally as Maalika ('Queen' in Afar language), and it's a rare opportunity to see her here on Australian shores. Valerie is hoping to meet some of the passionate supporters of Barbara May Foundation, whose partnership has ensured the ongoing work of improving maternal healthcare for the Afar people.

Don't miss your chance to meet this incredible, inspiring woman here in Sydney!

(Light refreshments will be served.)
