Serendipitous Events Proudly Presents
An Audience with Paul Carter

In partnership with and hosted by Pulse Technology Hub.

One night. Extraordinary stories. A little serendipity.

Join us on Thursday 19 November 2026 for an exclusive, intimate evening with international bestselling author and artist Paul Carter—the man behind Don’t Tell Mum I Work on the Rigs… She Thinks I’m a Piano Player in a Whorehouse.

His books have taken readers into some of the world’s wildest places. This time, you get to be in the room.

From remote oil rigs and outrageous misadventures to crossing Australia on a motorcycle powered by used cooking oil, Paul has lived the sort of stories most people wouldn’t dare invent. Expect irreverent humour, remarkable encounters and a refreshingly honest perspective on taking chances, embracing change and living beyond your comfort zone.

With over two million books sold worldwide, Paul brings his unmistakable storytelling to the intimate surroundings of Pulse Technology Hub for the first Serendipitous Events gathering.

And there’s a little mystery waiting in the wings.

One of Perth’s finest emerging musical artists will join us for an exclusive live performance. Their identity stays under wraps until the night. Come ready to discover someone worth listening to.

You’ll also experience another side of Paul’s creativity, with his artwork on display throughout Pulse Hub on the night and continuing beyond the event.
