An Ecological Evening at MGC: Revegetation for Reconciliation

In the lead up to community Tree day on Sunday the 28th of July, come along to an informative evening on the banks of the Biarrarung to hear from award winning agricultural scientist Dylan Male speak of the greater inclusion of Indigenous food plants in our contemporary farming systems. Dylan will share his experiences working alongside the Dja Dja Wurrung people of central Victoria to develop Kangaroo grass (Themeda triandra) into a contemporary seed crop. Kangaroo grass is one food plant species mentioned in Dr Bruce Pascoe's award winning Dark Emu.'
