Join us for a special cocktail fundraiser bringing together community, story, and the kind of food that reminds you why connection matters.

This event raises funds for the Aunties Fund, a Sub Fund of Sydney Community Foundation - a grassroots initiative supporting South Asian women and their children experiencing domestic and family violence in Australia. Too many women in our communities face these challenges in silence, isolated by stigma, cultural pressure, and a lack of services that truly understand them. The Aunties Fund exists to change that - by raising money, raising awareness, and raising our voices together.

The evening is proudly presented in collaboration with Plate It Forward, a social enterprise with a simple but powerful belief: that a meal can change a life. Plate It Forward creates meaningful employment and economic pathways for migrants and refugees - and at the heart of their work are talented women who bring extraordinary skill, resilience, and flavour to everything they make. On the night, guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated canape menu prepared by these remarkable women - food that tells its own story of courage and belonging.

The evening includes:

🎤 A panel discussion - Starting the Conversation: Changing Narratives, Creating Social Change - exploring how food, storytelling, film, and community action can shift the silence around domestic and family violence

🥂 Cocktail-style mingling, 🎶music, and meaningful connection

This is more than a fundraiser. It is an evening of community, courage, and joy - because South Asian women deserve to be celebrated as much as they deserve to be protected. The Aunties Fund will also be making a donation to Plate it Forward whose mission strongly aligns with ours.

Parking: The venue access is available via Grafton Lane. Parking is available at Broadway Shopping Centre, and there is also street parking available in the surrounding area. Kyiv Social is just a short 5-minute (400m) walk up Broadway towards Chippendale.
