About the performers
Liana Perillo (Melbourne): Harpist, vocalist and composer, Liana Perillo, demonstrates a clear crossover between classical and contemporary styles in her music. Liana plays the electro-acoustic pedal harp, coupled with amplification and analogue effects pedals to extend the sonority of her instrument. Her music envelopes the listener into a world of intriguing harp harmonies, tactile beats, soul-evoking lyrics, and sonic adornments of cello and violin.
Loni Fitzpatrick (Far North Queensland): Loni Fitzpatrick is a distinguished harpist and singer, known for her remarkable artistry and versatility. With a solid classical training background, she has built a rewarding and accomplished career, becoming one of Australia’s most in-demand harpists. Loni has performed with many of the nation’s premier orchestras, including the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, and the Australian Youth Orchestra, and has appeared on stages both in Australia and internationally. Most recently, she was a featured guest artist at the 2024 Australian Festival of Chamber Music in Townsville. Alongside her orchestral performances, Loni has earned recognition for her enchanting voice and harp performances. As a solo artist, Loni incorporates live looping with organic percussion, adding depth and texture to her performances. Her seamless fusion of classical technique with a broad range of musical styles has garnered widespread praise, cementing her reputation as a dynamic and inspiring figure in the Australian music scene.
