WHAT
Join local musician, Tara Behr, and Lyons based poet, April Tierney, for a soul stirring evening at the historic Rockledge House at Smokebrush Farm. Tara will be singing songs from her new album, Wild Cathedrals of Love, and April will be reading poetry from her new book, Matter/Mother.

After the performance, you'll be guided through a simple and soulful communal writing practice to deepen into the images and emotions that were stirred throughout the evening. Please bring your journal, a pen, and a friend to join us for this special night.

HOSTS BIO April Tierney is a poet, activist, craftswoman, mother, and lover of stories. Her work follows threads of ecopoetics, myth, culture, and lineage. She is the author of four full length collections of poetry, including her most recent book, Matter/Mother, which was released in August 2024 by Wayfarer Books. She has been nominated for The Pushcart Prize and featured in Orion MagazineDeep Times: A Journal of the Work that ReconnectsClarion Poetry Magazine, and Real Ground Journal, among others. April lives in Lyons, Colorado with her family, where she guides nature-based writing classes for adults and kids as well as seasonal art making workshops. To learn more visit www.apriltierney.com.

Tara Behr moves in the world as a singer-songwriter, psychotherapist, lover of earth, and writer. Her work is inspired by radical therapy, the sacred feminine, and ecology. She is currently working on an album titled Wild Cathedrals of Love, with her first single “Open Heart” now published on Spotify.
