Event description

Empowering Parents, Supporting Kids: An Evening with Daniel Principe

St Mark’s Anglican Community School is proud to welcome Daniel Principe – 2024 Australian of the Year and highly sought-after speaker and educator – for a special parent information session on Wednesday, 22 October.

Daniel is an advocate for positive change, known for his powerful work helping young people and families navigate the complexities of the digital world. His engaging presentation will shine a light on the challenges facing today’s youth, from toxic online influencers and harmful stereotypes to the objectification of women and unrealistic expectations fuelled by porn culture.

This important evening will equip parents with practical tools and insights to better support their children in a fast-changing world, including:

  • Understanding the Digital Landscape – gaining insight into the pressures young people face online.

  • Fostering Respectful Relationships – strategies to encourage empathy, kindness and healthy connections.

  • Mental Health and Wellbeing – practical advice for supporting your child through modern-day pressures.

Daniel will also spend time with our Year 6, 7 and 10 students during the day as part of our ongoing commitment to student wellbeing.

Date: Wednesday, 22 October
Time: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Location: The Performing Arts Complex (PAC)

Tickets are limited – don’t miss this chance to hear from one of Australia’s most inspiring voices.
