Maggie Carty

A banjo player and singer from the west of Ireland, now based in Naarm/Melbourne. Known for her commanding vocals and rhythmic banjo playing, Maggie draws deeply from Irish traditional music, blending influences from Americana and Australian folk.

Recently released her debut solo album Ebb and Flow, offering a fresh, modern woman’s perspective on timeless songs. The album explores themes of identity, belonging, and the complex experience of the Irish diaspora living between worlds.

Ruby Shay

A proud First Nations singer-songwriter from New South Wales, whose powerful storytelling and soulful country sound have captured national attention. Drawing on her Boorooberongal, Dharug heritage, Ruby’s music reflects her resilience, identity, and deep connection to Country.

Released her debut album Hitch a Ride in 2024, which climbed to number two on the ARIA Australian Country Chart. The album weaves together personal stories and cultural strength, showcasing her signature blend of vulnerability and grit.
