An evening with Patrick Previtt ALL THINGS WILDFLOWERS
Description
The talk presents the results from a three-hour survey adjacent to Erindoon Road and Mineral Sands Road in the Lesueur district, 30th October 2025.
The talk illustrates wildflowers for everyone: those keen to admire their beauty, those keen to improve their skill in classification and identification, and encouragement for those keen to take their own photographs.
With so many wildflower families roadside and beyond, it is no wonder that Lesueur is known as the 'jewel in the crown of the southwest'. In addition to the region's iconic three families, you will find in October: trigger plants, Levenhookia, rainbow flower, kangaroo paws, Conostylis, fringe lilies, diplolenas, leschenaultias, droseras, butterfly flowers, bladderworts, coppercups, lambswool and many more. In addition, Casuarina and Callitris, two well-known significant trees in the district will be described.
