Hey team,

You're officially booked in for Intro into Ceramics - Shaped by the Coast!

The Outdoors Society team and Ish Ceramics are stoked to have you joining us for a creative and inspiring day out west. Here's everything you need to know before the day!

EVENT DETAILS

Time: 11:00am - 1pm (Roughly)

Location: North End of Piha Beach

Meeting Point: 101 Piha Road, Piha 0772

WHAT TO EXPECT

Guided by a local ceramic artist, we'll explore the basics of working with clay, taking inspiration from the rugged coastline, volcanic rocks, ocean tides and surrounding landscape to create our very own functional ceramic pieces.

No experience is needed! This is all about slowing down, trying something new and connecting with nature and the people around you.

What's included:

All clay, tools and equipment.
Guidance from our ceramic artist.
Your very own handmade pottery creation.
Food and refreshments.
Plenty of good company and coastal inspiration!

WHAT TO BRING

As we will be spending the morning outdoors, we recommend bringing comfortable clothing you don't mind getting a little clay on, sunscreen, a hat and an extra layer in case the coastal breeze picks up. A cheeseboard and drinks will be provided but feel free to bring an extra water bottle.

A NOTE ON THE WEATHER

As much as we'd love to spend the day soaking up the West Coast, we know Auckland's weather can have other plans!

In the event of unfavourable weather, we'll relocate the workshop to the Outdoors Society store at 1/90 Mount Eden Road, Mount Eden, Auckland.

We'll keep you updated ahead of the event should any changes be necessary.

We're looking forward to sharing a morning of creativity, connection and a little coastal inspiration with you all.

Brought to you by ISH Cermaics and Outdoors Society and kindly supported by Bot Pots - All things Pottery.

See you out West!
