This course will be a deep dive into the history and practices when the left was at the forefront of creating radical change. This course will plant the seeds of new possibilities..."
Course outline.
Week 1 (25/02): Introduction to Strategy
Week 2 (04/03): Approaching Sun Tzu, Mao Zedong and the 'people's war'.
Week 3 (11/03): 'The Tet Offensive' and the North Vietnamese victory over the United States.
Week 4 (18/03): George Jackson, the Black Panthers and prison as a site of struggle.

Week 5 (01/04): Gramsci and building a 'counter-hegemonic bloc.'
Week 6 (08/04): José Mariátegui, 'national-popular alliances' and the Cuban Revolution.
Week 7 (15/04): Subcommandante Marcos, utilising the imagination and zapatismo'
Week 8 (22/04): Revolution in Australia?
The classes will be held at the New International Bookshop in Trades Hall.
Classes will go from 6 - 8.30pm.
Readings and resources for the course will be available upon registering.
There is a sliding scale regarding costs:
$150 unwaged / $200 underemployed / $250 waged / supporter $300.
