Event description

Join the Analog Art Club at Wyndham Art Gallery

Switch off. Meet new people. Connect through art.
Inspiration, without interruption.
Find your connection.

Led by artist and facilitator Merryn Trevethan, through hands-on workshops, featuring drawing, collage, mark-making and more, you will explore the gallery in fresh, playful ways. No experience needed, no pressure, just a welcoming space to look, reflect and share ideas. Come solo or bring a friend.  Leave your phone in your pocket and join us for something refreshingly analog.

Analog Art Club is a statewide initiative that invites Victorians to slow down, switch off their screens and connect in real life — through art. Hosted by galleries across Victoria, these phone-free events offer a welcoming space to reflect, discuss and experience art together, making creativity social, accessible and refreshingly analog.

Analog Art Club is a joint initiative of Public Galleries Association of Victoria (PGAV) and ArtsHub.

Merryn Trevethan in an Australian artist based again in Naarm/ Melbourne, after 10 years living and working in Asia. Her multi-disciplinary practice combines hyper-saturated paintings, wall drawings and objects in installations that reflect how we experience our lived environment and celebrate the joy of seeing the world in real life. Merryn has exhibited widely in Australia, as well as in Singapore and Hong Kong where she has also created numerous mural and public art commissions. She has wide ranging experience as an educator, leading fun and accessible workshops for art lovers in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Melbourne over the last decade.

Workshops are for 18+

Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

Wyndham City Council recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first Peoples of Australia. We acknowledge the Bunurong and Wadawurrung Peoples as Traditional Owners of the lands on which Wyndham City operates. The Wadawurrung and Bunurong Peoples have and always will belong to the Werribee Yalook (river), creeks, stars, hills and red clay of this Country. We pay respect to their Ancestors and Elders who always have, and always will, care for Country and community today and for future generations.
