Ancient Methods (Berlin) – Doom Gen Presents: Exclusive Melbourne Industrial Techno Rave
Event description
Doom Gen presents: Ancient Methods – Three-Hour Set | Australian Exclusive
From Berghain, RSO and Tresor to ADE, Dekmantel and his residency at Khidi, Ancient Methods has commanded the world’s most revered dance floors. Now, he returns for a Doom Gen Australian exclusive at New Guernica.
A steadfast presence in underground music for nearly two decades, Ancient Methods is the architect of pitch black war funk techno and founder of the record label Persephonic Sirens. His sound is unrelenting, otherworldly and refuses confinement. Much like the fall of Jericho, the emblem of his project, his music is a force of deconstruction, breaking barriers between genres, between past and future, between the mechanical and the visceral.
With techno as a transmitter rather than a boundary, his productions and DJ sets seamlessly merge industrial beats with synth-pop, dark wave, krautrock and experimental, dance driven-sounds. His remixes for Yello, The Soft Moon and Die Wilde Jagd, along with collaborations with Regis, Orphx and Cindytalk, showcase his ability to reshape sound while leaving an unmistakable imprint.
For this edition of Doom Gen, we return to the ritual where rhythm leads, sweat is the offering and motion is the language. Stripped of distraction, dissolved into energy, we move as one. Faces blur, egos fade and souls connect, not through words but through movement. Every shift in sound and every shared moment under the haze becomes a tether to something beyond.
They tried to erase this, the raw human connection of dance. But across centuries and cultures, movement has been our most sacred act. A force of transcendence, a bridge to other dimensions.
With every Doom Gen, we craft experiences beyond genre, curating lineups drawn together by a shared fascination with the dark, the unconventional and the extraordinary.
This time, we invite you to let your body speak.
