Andie + Joseph John Matthews have been busying themselves in and around the Blue Mountains for quite some time, playing gigs, working in hospitality, flirting with local bartenders, all the usual kind of stuff, but the time has come to spread their wings a little further! They both co-incidentally bought and built tiny homes in the same model of truck, and they’re both awfully fond of a good folk song. Standing at 4ft11 and half, with steel lungs and an infectious smile, largely self-taught musician 'andie' delivers an intoxicating live performance that is not to be missed.  Hailing from Dharug & Gundungurra land (Blue Mountains), outside of Eora (Sydney), her songwriting combines old school jazz vocals and folk style lyrics with bluesy tones, bringing a captivating and cheeky presence to any room.

andie’s unforgettable voice has lured in listeners in the millions worldwide across multiple social media platforms, her Youtube channel now home to 33.3million views and 46k monthly listeners are subscribed to her 5 independent releases on spotify. 

Andie has toured and gigged across the country supporting the likes of dodie (UK), Ash Grunwald, Sex on Toast, The Cactus Channel, performed at Woodfolk Folk Festival, The National Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Blue Mountains Music Festival.  In 2022 she performed at the Sydney Opera House, appearing onstage with Hermitude as part of Vivid Sydney. 

She’s also travelled to LA + NYC in 2017 & 2023 to tour and perform her own original music.

bones. Some say he is over 10 feet tall and has eyes as black and deep as the midnight ocean. His mellifluous voice will rattle
the windows free of their frames, glasses will shatter, hearts will break. You will never be the same again.
You return home. With a low hum in your chest. Like a lonely church organ droning away the endless hours. You climb into bed
and sleep a deep and dreamless sleep. When you awake in the morning the hum has grown a little louder.. a little stronger.
The weeks go by and the buzzing does not stop. It continues to fill you like swarming bees. Building golden comb inside your
ribcage. Growing louder and louder until it is all consuming.
You are a centuries old cathedral filled with a thousand out of phase pipe organs.
The sands of your hourglass shifting and churning within you.
You wake in a fever sweat.
It's early morning.
The hum has left you, but it has not vanished entirely.
You can still hear it. Just a room away.
You climb out of bed.
As you move so does the sound.
Always a room away.
Just out of sight.
You have to follow it.
You pull on your shoes.
Step out of your front door,
and follow.
Down the front steps,
out onto the damp mossy path,
and disappear into the mist.
