Anemoia Festival is back!

Anemoia Festival is coming back once again this year on Lismore's Southern Cross University campus. Featuring a huge selection of local bands, along with pop-up market stalls & interviews with our two iconic hosts Elwood and Sacha.

Lismore's music scene has struggled through Covid and floods. We used to be a major hotspot for touring acts, and with your support, we can bring this back into reality by holding our very own local, home-grown music festival!

Our lineup includes:

MASOCHIST

Hardcore punk band from the Northern Rivers in NSW with a socially conscious message of empowerment and inclusivity. Lyrically tackling things such as sexual assault, mental illness, misogyny in the music scene and the blatant racism and lack of empathy from governing bodies, the band brings a raw look at things they believe aren't talked about enough to bring positive action from these negatives. They released their latest EP 'Bloom' last year on vinyl, and have played shows across Australia.

LIMINAL

Psych-rock experimentalists, featured on the ABC's RAGE and Triple J Unearthed, along with two full-length albums out on 12" vinyl.

LOOSE CONTENT

Indie rock trio, emerging from the Byron Shire at an impressively young age, they've toured with Magic Dirt and are set to release a new EP this year.

PUFF

Garage-psych band, made up of a couple of SCU students who all mutually agreed life is better when you're headbanging to fast, energetic psych rock.

MEDIA PUZZLE

A mysterious phantom of Lismore's nightlife, Tom Peter's 'Media Puzzle' will be making an appearance. Blasting a TR-606 drum machine over the heaviest egg-punk basslines and shrieking guitar tones you'll ever hear, you don't want to miss it.

THUNDERGOD OF THE MULTIVERSE

This band defies genre with their mind-bendingly obscene lyricism, accompanied by epic prog-rock style guitar solos and time signature changes that run like clockwork. This band is a staple of the local music scene for a reason!

SUPER ORBIT

Another psych band originating from SCU, Super Orbit is a project led by Eden Yeigh, Ariel Pacanowski and Max Urbina. They released their first EP 'Calling Home' this year, along with a thoughtful and authentic live repertoire that resonate with many an audience.

GHOST VARIATIONS

A cacophony of overdriven guitar riffs, echoing vocals and heavy drumming, Ghost Variations present a live act that instills raw energy into those listening.

RATMONGERS

Emerging from Byron Bay, this trio brings the era of 90s grunge to the present day.

MUDWAGON

Four-piece psychedelic rock collective hailing from the beautiful Bundjalung land of Byron Bay. They describe themselves as a feral bunch who have a knack for putting on the most outlandish live shows you have ever witnessed.

APOSTLES

Apostles are an Indie/Psych Rock band from Lismore. They put out their first single 'Hippopotamus' this year.

MR FINN

Four piece psychedelia band from Meanjin/Brisbane, eager to stimulate your ears with a psych rock & shoegaze live set to open the festival.
