Description

Ange Boxall is a leading Tasmanian Songwriter, Performer & Recording Artist.

Her latest album, Skipping Stone, debuted on the ARIA Country Charts at #1 and hit #1 on the Australian Independent Records Charts.

Ange's musical style weaves together Country, Folk, and Pop, infused with the spirit of 1970s female singer-songwriters.

Her songs are rich with vivid imagery and heartfelt narratives. Honest, relatable storytelling - music that resonates deeply.
A tender-hearted optimist and introspective soul, Ange creates songs that are both powerful and uplifting.

Ange has written, recorded, and performed extensively across the USA, UK, Europe, and Australia. For over a decade, she was based between London and Nashville, where she collaborated with world-renowned artists including the late J.D. Souther (Eagles, Linda Ronstadt), Grammy Award-winner Jim Lauderdale, and the late Bones Hillman of Midnight Oil.

She has performed with and supported Ron Sexsmith, JD. Souther, Tim Freedman, Damien Leith, and Icehouse, has performed at the World Cricket ‘Ashes’, NBL Basketball, Mona Museum, SxSW Austin, Americana Fest, The Bluebird Cafe Nashville, and Electric Picnic Ireland, to name a few.

Now based on Tasmania’s East Coast, from where Ange draws her inspiration, responding to the island’s natural beauty and complex cultural landscape, allowing her artistry to flourish in new and deep ways.

“…there’s some wonderful imagery and narrative in these songs, it’s refreshing to read lyrics that are more poetry than dear diary.”
Paul McKercher, Producer.

“ She’s a deep well – she writes her own songs, she runs her own festival and when she sings 'Me & Bobby McGee' you might as well be in the truck with the windscreen wipers clapping time.’
Martin Flanagan, Journalist & Author.

“There IS a Tasmanian sound. It's Ange Boxall. Wow!”
J.D. Souther (USA).

“Ange is 1 part English Rose, 1 part Tasmanian Devil and 1 part gin-soaked Southern Belle”
Lachlan Bryan, Musician
