Event description

Youth Dance Mob – Lead Big River Song
Hosted by Angourie Dance

Join us for a dynamic three-day workshop where young people unite through the power of dance, culture, and connection.

Led by Angourie Dance in collaboration with Garimaa Ngahri, this high-energy experience is inspired by Big River Song—a powerful new track created by Youth Artists Lennox Monaghan, Khushali McLeay, Brittney Lavis, and Alora Mahoney. Honouring the land, river, and sea of Yaegl and Bundjalung Country, this workshop invites participants to move with purpose, creativity, and cultural pride.

Guided by professional dancers, cultural mentors, and Elders, participants will collaborate to create original choreography that expresses identity, connection to Country, and shared stories. Dance becomes a powerful tool for building friendships, confidence, and cultural pride.

This is a space for young people to feel seen, heard, and supported—where movement connects us not just to each other, but to the places we come from.

Bring your energy, openness, and love for music and movement!
