Event description
Dr Skerritt will deliver the 51st Angus Mitchell Oration on Wednesday 7th April 2021.
Note this is an in-person only event.
Dr Skerritt has a high national profile dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. In his current role he is also responsible for the Therapeutic Goods Administration and the Office of Drug Control.
An eminent public servant with strong personal links to Rotary having been awarded a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship at the University of Michigan, USA. He was honoured by Rotary International with the 2012 ”Global Alumni Service to Humanity Award” for contributions in research in health, agricultural and environmental sciences plus achievements as a leader of Australia’s overseas development assistance (aid) program.
John has been a member of the Rotary Club of Hampton and visits regularly when home on the weekends from Canberra.
