Anikura @ SMASH! Weekend

Anikura—an abbreviation of “Anime Song Club”—is a dedicated club event in which DJs substitute mainstream EDM with tightly-mixed sets of anime, game and idol tracks. Attendees are encouraged to participate with glow-sticks, call and mix chants, and freestyle wotagei. No prior choreography is required, only enthusiasm.

The programme is designed to foster conversation and networking among fans of Japanese pop culture. Whether you wish to sing along to the latest opening theme, practise otaku dance moves, or simply enjoy an energetic, community-centred atmosphere, Anikura offers the sonic intensity of a live house within an inclusive, geek-oriented space.

Event Guidelines—Please Read

• Admission is limited to 18+ guests, you must present valid photo ID at the door.

• Any aggressive, disruptive, or otherwise anti-social conduct will result in immediate removal.

• Large cameras, light stands, and similar gear are only permitted with advance approval.

• Lifting, surfing, and moshing are welcome—but look after yourself and others; you join at your own risk, and organisers aren’t liable.

• Always secure someone’s permission before photographing or filming them.

• Wearing a cosplay costume does not grant automatic consent—ask the cosplayer first.

• You may appear incidentally in other guests’ candid shots taken during the night.
