Animal Blessing Day - World Animal Day Celebration

Join us as we honour and celebrate the animals who share our world. Experience a special Animal Blessing Ceremony and witness the joy of an Animal Liberation Release, symbolising hope, compassion, and freedom for all living beings. With free children's activities, prizes to be won and plenty of fun for the whole family, meeting fellow animal lovers, and taking part in our special World Animal Day event. ANIMAL BLESSING CEREMONY

An Animal Blessing Ceremony is a special occasion in which prayers and blessings are offered for the health, happiness, and wellbeing of animals. In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, animals are regarded as sentient beings worthy of love, respect, and compassion. During the ceremony, blessings may be bestowed through sacred prayers, mantras, and the symbolic use of blessed water and other ritual objects. The ceremony provides an opportunity for people to express gratitude for the animals who enrich our lives, while generating wishes for their protection, freedom from suffering, and progress along the path to enlightenment. Your pet will receive a blessing gift and you are welcome to make an offering after receiving the blessing.

ANIMAL LIBERATION RELEASE

In Tibetan Buddhism, the practice of animal liberation, known as tsethar (life release), is an act of compassion in which animals destined for harm or death are rescued and released into a safe natural environment. This practice reflects the Buddhist teachings of non-harming, kindness, and respect for all sentient beings. By freeing animals, practitioners aim to save lives, cultivate compassion, and generate merit, while offering prayers for the wellbeing and liberation of all beings from suffering. An animal liberation release serves as a reminder of our interconnectedness and our shared responsibility to protect and cherish life in all its forms.
