Three actors are thrown together to perform scenes at random from a controversial new play. What happens next will strain the limits of professional objectivity as their lived experiences blur with the violent narrative onstage. Shortlisted for the 2023 Griffin Award, Animal interrogates Australia’s crisis of masculinity in a feral fever dream.

Animal is a confrontational work that uses absurdity and humour to examine themes and content that may be distressing to some audiences. Please be advised that this show contains offensive language, ableist and homophobic slurs, depictions of physical violence, verbal abuse, ablism, animal cruelty and bestiality. Mentions of sexual abuse, sexual assault, rape, incest, suicide, self-harm and paedophilia,
Audiences are advised that they are able to leave the auditorium at any time - and are encouraged to seek assistance from the Front of House team as needed. However, due to the nature of the performance, patrons will not be readmitted.
