Annie Jacobs-Perkins at Hayes

American cellist Annie Jacobs-Perkins' playing has been praised for her “hypnotic lyricism, causing listeners to forget where they were for a moment” (Alex Ross, The New Yorker) and for "delightfully pluck[ing] and slapp[ing] her cello like a rockabilly upright bassist" (The Democrat and Chronicle). In her Hayes Street Studio debut Annie performs the iconic Cello Suite No.3 in C major, BWV 1009 by J.S Bach, alongside two trios with flautist Rosie Gallagher and pianist Lee Dionne: Cendres (Ashes, 1998) by Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho and the stormy Trio in D minor, Op. 11 by Fanny Mendelssohn.
