Annual Scouting Day Event - Astronomy, Geology, and Environmental Science
Event description
Join us at the New Jersey State Museum with your Scouting troop and work towards fulfilling requirements for three badges - all in one day! Have fun while learning from Museum curators, all while fulfilling some of the requirements for the Astronomy, Geology, and Environmental Science badges.
This event is suitable for troops of all levels. Please note - Merit badges are not included in the program fee, and the Museum is not providing opportunities for fulfillment of all requirements for each badge, just the requirements detailed in the Program Schedule below.
Cost:
Tickets are $10 per person and include one Planetarium show with expanded Sky Talk, Career Opportunities session, access to the fossil prep open house and the Ecosystems at Risk gallery research handout. You must select one show for your whole troop to see together. If your troop wishes to see both shows, or you wish to split your troop up, you must make two separate registrations and ensure you have enough adults in each show to accompany scouts. Adults and siblings attending the Planetarium show require event tickets and should be included in the total attendees for each troop. All children must be accompanied in the Museum and Planetarium show by an adult at all times.
Registration:
Registration is open until January 26, or until we reach capacity for each Planetarium show. Please make one registration for each troop. The Museum does not offer refunds, so please be sure of your final number before completing your registration.
