Event description

Capital W invites you to join us at Annual Dinner, our flagship event held at the Doltone House Ballroom! This unique occasion provides female business students with an opportunity to expand their corporate networks in a highly exclusive setting, featuring a two course dinner. The evening will consist of an address from our prominent keynote speaker, Jane Peter (Director of Leadership, Culture and Capability at Optus), as well as an opportunity to engage with a wide range of representatives from our 15 reputable sponsor firms. Students will be able to rotate between two sponsor tables of their preference, for main course and dessert.

This year's theme, ‘Closing The Distance’, celebrates women’s achievements in business and brings focus to the importance of gender inequality. It further encourages all to educate themselves in the prevalent obstacles facing women, as many imperative issues lack awareness. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated female inequities, as the economic crisis disproportionately affected women through job losses and financial difficulties. From staying connected and tackling COVID-19’s impact on the business landscape to achieving a gender-balanced workforce, we welcome you to an evening of transformative discussions which will enhance your industry knowledge and enrich your university experience.

Attending sponsor organisations: Accenture, Bank of America, Citibank, Credit Suisse, EY, Goldman Sachs, ICA Partners, J.P. Morgan, L.E.K. Consulting, Luminis Partners, Macquarie Group, Morgan Stanley, Nomura, Quantium, Salesforce and Salesforce Talent Alliance.

We look forward to celebrating 13 years of Capital W with you and our alumni, as we continue to empower future female business leaders. Leave with deeper industry connections and empowerment as we strive towards ‘Closing The Distance’.

Please note that this event is only open to FEMALE students, from all universities. Places are strictly limited so register now to secure your position.

We all have a role to play in ‘Closing The Distance’. With Australia’s gender pay gap remarkably improving, down from 18.5% (2014) to 13.4% (2021), we continue to be inspired and empowered by optimistic improvements which bring us one step closer to achieving gender parity (WGEA, 2021). We hope you will join us and partake in ‘Closing The Distance’, driving the gaps women face today towards zero.
