Welcome to the Rose Theatre and Smoky Mirror Arts Co’s presentation of "Another Night in the Big Smoke"; a night where you take one giant step back into the craziness of the 1920's Chicago cabaret scene. After a successful first run in November of last year, Smoky Mirror Arts Co. is back with its debut cabaret!

Smoky Mirror Arts Co. is Glass Ceiling Arts Collective's “next-gen” programme, a space where our young adult students can transition into the professional performance world.

This is an entirely youth led project, with both the Smoky Mirror Arts Co. concept and the cabaret being devised by our rangatahi. They've pulled the cabaret together, featuring some of New Zealand's leading and award winning youth performers, to create paid work and raise awareness about the importance of creating inclusive onstage environments for emerging talent.

The name Smoky Mirror Arts Co. was inspired by the idea that the cast you see onstage is a reflection of today’s diverse society.

Throw on your glad rags and join us as we take you on a journey to the 1920’s. We promise it will be the Cat’s Pyjamas!
