Antarctic Youth Coalition Hobart: Info Session
Event description
Hobart is one of only five official Antarctic Gateway Cities in the world, uniquely positioned as a hub for Antarctic science, logistics, and culture. This distinction stems from its strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and a rich history of supporting Antarctic expeditions.
The launch of the Antarctic Youth Coalition (AYC) Hobart chapter aligns with the city's deep-rooted connections to Antarctica. It offers young Tasmanians an opportunity to engage with Antarctic issues, fostering a sense of stewardship and active participation in shaping the future of the continent.
You’ll hear more about AYC’s mission, how you can get involved, and how this new chapter will connect with global and local partners. We’ll also share stories from the successful AYC Punta Arenas chapter. Check out some of their work on Instagram here.
