Anti-Discrimination NSW Information Session - Broken Hill
Description
Anti-Discrimination NSW is hosting a free information session in Broken Hill.
This is an opportunity for community workers, lawyers and other local service providers to learn more about Anti-Discrimination NSW and the services it provides under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
The session will enable participants to recognise when unfair treatment may be against the law and give accurate information to members of the community about their rights and responsibilities under anti-discrimination law.
The session will also cover the Conversion Practices Ban Act 2024 (NSW), which prohibits LGBTQA conversion practices in NSW and establishes a new civil complaints scheme which is administered by Anti-Discrimination NSW.
Join Mia Zahra (Executive Manager), Gillian Stokie (Manager, Communications and Engagement) and Felicity Huntington (Community Engagement Officer) from Anti-Discrimination NSW for this session.
