Antopia: The Architecture of Ants
MPavilion
melbourne, australia
Event description
Get a mighty-but-mini-sized look at life, as Antopia experts guide us into the ant world
Like humans, ants are social creatures. They build ever-changing colonies —or cities—alongside, sometimes, millions of individuals. Melbourne Museum’s Antopia exhibition shrinks us down to experience a day in the life of ants and better understand what we share with the insect world. This roundtable discussion digs deeper into the colony. It’ll be led by Museums Victoria Research Institute expert entomologists Dr Ken Walker and Simon Hinkley, with Antopia exhibition producer Jillian Clark. Together they’ll discuss the secret life of ants and the art of science communication.
